Dr. Ramadhani Stephano Mwiru is a Nutritional Epidemiologist with over ten years of professional experience in public health and nutrition programming, research, surveys, monitoring and evaluation. Dr. Mwiru joined ESTL as a board member in 2017. He has a range of expertise in areas including public health, nutrition, capacity development, governance, networking and partnership building, research, and monitoring and evaluation. In collaboration with scientists from Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) in Tanzania, Makerere University in Uganda, Harvard University and other internationally reputable institutions, Dr. Mwiru has published over 20 scientific papers in peer reviewed international journals. Dr. Mwiru has effectively provided technical assistance to the government and civil society organizations for evidence-based programming, systems strengthening, and execution of multi-sectoral strategic plans. Dr. Mwiru holds the Doctor of Medicine degree from University of Dar es Salaam (Tanzania), Master of Science in Epidemiology and Doctor of Science in Nutrition from Harvard University (USA).
